Default Gear Calculator Websites

For all of you that are always asking the gear question:

Website that will give you RPM@Speed w/ certian gear set:

http://www.angelfire.com/fl/procrastination/rear.html

Website that will calculate rear tire diameter (so you can input it into the above calc)

http://www.rx7turboturbo.com/robrobi...e_diameter.htm

Now what we need is one that incorporates the gas $ with gears at certain speeds!

But I still love my 4:10s to death....

Here are some formulas for you to start with:

mph = (rpm x tire diameter) / (gear ratio x 336)

rpm = (mph x gear ratio x 336) / tire daimeter

gear ratio = (rpm x tire diameter) / (mph x 336)

tire diameter = (mph x gear ratio x 336) / rpm
