Well my stepdads engine blew in his ranger and i was wondering how hard of a swap it was

since im getting a new engine for my car soon i was thinkin why not just toss the old in his truck?

well i think its a 98 ranger
its an auto and has 4wd

is that a problem comming off the stock t5 in my car?

 

friend for mine had one ,,had to notch the the heater box out so the vavle cover would clear ,,as for as 4wd,, don't know ,,i got a book somewhere with every thing that you would need for the covn,, the headers are 400.00,,,rad ,,400.00,,real expensivse,if you had 2 wd drive it be simpler ,,thats what he had ,,i'll pass,,,

what should i do with my 302?

its got 100k miles on it and a few mods
still runs great but burns oil...
think ill replace the rings on it so it doesnt while its on the engine stand

 

you could stroke it ???or if you got some juice see how much it can take,,before you swap her out..

 

well it being 4 wd...I 'spose you can but it will be costly being A/T and 4 wd....as the transfer might not be up to it and several brackets and such wil have to be fab'd
