Anyways, a CAI will hold heat because its CHROME metal. Chrome holds heat like a sonovabitch. Polished metals dont so much, and metals painted black hold the least. Then there are low temp metals that dont absorb any heat and then you have your plastics, plastic takes longer to get the heat into it, but plastic still heats up... If you really want a COLD AIR CHARGER then wrap you CAI in a thermal wrap to keep the heat out, add a spacer at the TB and that will keep the heat from coming off the intake manifold and onto the TB and onto the CAI. Thats one of the ways out there to really get a cold charge into your engine. Next time you drive even for 15 minutes or so, stop and feel your intake manifold, its going to be hella hot. There are spacers to put between your upper and lower intake manifold but i dont know where to find them. That will keep the Upper intake cold and you will get a more even Cold blast into your engine.</P>


btw, colder blasts of air means its denser because the molicules arent moving around so much bumpin and grindin to the disco music of the engine. Its like a Theator of people sitting and watching a movie qietly..... They get up and leave orderly and pretty quickly.... Yell <FONT color=red>FIRE</FONT><FONT color=black> and everyone is going to flip out and bounce off eachother and take a long *** time to get out.</FONT></P>
