Default Luggage rack break light replacement

I need to replace the break light on my 91 GT Convertible. This is the light mounted on the trunk. There are two visible screws, however, when I remove them the light will not come out of the housing. I do not want to pry on it to much.

The brake light assy (two bulbs) is in the housing with little room to spare. I used a flat blade jewelers screw driver to get inside the screw hole at an angle. I did not want to pry against the housing or paint.
Better yet is a steel pick with a 90 degree end. Think ice pick with about a 1/4" at the end bent at a right angle.

I used that the second time I went into the unit, hooked the backside of the plastic lense at the screw holes, then worked it out a little at a time. Snug fit. The lense and the bulb housings and wiring should come out together. Crummy design by Ford but they figured it would be after warranty when you had to get in there.....and they were right.

Good luck
