i just wanted to say that i bought a 99 3.8 5 speed, it looks pretty nice and can still stomp a civic at a light. But like 90% of all lx owners i want a GT, i crave that deep low v8 rumble. But buy what u want, its your hard earned money ur spending. if its just a daily driver, id go for the lx, u wont be disappointed. but if u want this to be a fun weekend car id go for the GT!

You could by a 05 GT off ebay, theres a few on there with the fact warrenty still good for the price of a new V6 pony car,and most are dealers selling them.
Or Auto Trader-http://www.autotrader.com/

I took the V6 vert @ $30,000 after everything over the v8 coupe that would have been about the same price. It's good, Put a Lsd with CAI and tune and you'll be fine, gas milage is good... 60miles round trip everyday played a factor in what I got. We wanted a vert and the fully loaded gt verts around here at the time were like 38K. Thats alot per month broken down over 5 years. So we took the V6. It's not like your other years V6's it's got some kick! Gee teas try to taunt me sometimes but you know, when the tops down / radio blasting as I scream the tires loose... I feel for the Gt coupes... They just don't get the mustang concept. It's a fun car not a fast car. If you want a fast car and buy a gt ... you may not understand whats out there. You want fast, buy the Ford GT, Vette or a viper those guys have all the power out of the box. Get what YOU will have fun with not what you think others should feel you have. Mustangs are a blast from my 66 to my 05 vert they are all awesome. Enjoy your car whatever it will be.

I would go for the GT. Everyone that I know that has a six and craves power wishes that they had a V8. Also, the V8 has the rumble factor.

this should ever be a dilema for you. the gas milage is small in comparison to the performence relationship of the two cars.
