Fix "curbed" rims

RE: Fix "curbed" rims
This guy at work must park by using the curb to let him know where hes at on the street, all 4wheels had major curb rash. After some rough grinding and fine sandblasting we powercoated them gloss black and it's really hard to tell from a few feet that anything is or was wrong with the wheels. Now the guys in the powdercoating department aren't happy because they think he'll be bringing them back often to get them fixed up but some grinding and sandblasting and coating did a fine job and made the wheels look pretty sharp.. until he parks again![:@]

there are places you can take your rims to and they will refinish them for you. It will looks brand new and you will never be able to tell. I think its around 80 bucks a rim depending on how bad the damage is.

for minor curb rash on my polished alumin rims, i just sand them down with medium grit and then really fine grit and polish the hell out of that spot. looks good all around
