Default good idea or bad

I just got a new intake and the adapter that go's on the MAP to connect the air filter I had to seal. I put a bead of black Silicone on the inside between the plate and the MAP. The reason I am asking is I was wondering if it would dry out and fall off?

Thanks for all the help

That silicone better be sensor safe first off. Secondly, take a razor or exacto knife and get rid of that bead that is in the air pathway. You're actually negating any positive effects by distorting the incoming air.

Here is the pick if my engen bay, you can see the MAP there and the adapter between that and the filter, I have sealed it on the outside and the inside there is about a 1/8" lip on the inside because the adapter is a little large than the MAP.
