Default subframe connectors

Hey everybody,
I'm new and this is my first post. I know that a lot of people have posted about the subframe connectors, but I have a tech question about them. I bought a set of the weld-ins and took them to my local fab shop to have them installed. The problem was that they didn't exactly fit. The type that I got is the kind that has the seat bolt cross member. When we placed the connectors under the car, the seat bolt cross member hung about 1-1.5" too low, there's no way that they'll reach to attach to the factory bolts. Are mine bent? Do I need to intall longer seat bolts? Somebody help, PLEASE!
Thanx all!

I know that they're side specific and there's no way that they can be installed "upside down". As far as the brand, I'm not sure, but I ordered them from Blue Oval Industries. They told me the brand name and I forgot it. Also, they ensured me that they were for all 79-93 Mustangs and could be installed without modification. So, I'm at a loss here.

By the way, sorry about the delay in replying, my phone service on post sucks the big one!
