Default Engine Swap, what is needed.

Doing an engine swap going from a 3.8 to a 4.6 GT. what other GT parts are needed besides the Engine and the Tranny.
is the rear end, gears, needed. anything else.

The rearend would be ideal, it will come with the gears. You will need the driveshaft, complete wiring harness and computer. I think the K-member is different, if it is you will need it.

I was thinking the same thing. My g/f wants to swap a 99 4v in her v6 and I told her it probably will need quite a few parts. Any thing else you can think of that would need to be changed out?

Front springs probably need to be stiffer to account for a heavier engine. Also the cooling system needs to be upgraded from the V6

this has been asked 90 million times, just go and buy a GT it will be cheaper, if not then slap a procharger on it and it will still be cheaper and be faster then a GT
