Default octane boosters

Hey all. I am just wonderin if those octane boosters are worth the money and do they have a bad effects on your engine

they won't do a thing.

higher octane isn't required anyway, unless you run advanced timing, high compression or or foced induction.

no worthless just run ultra 94. i used some of that octane booster stuff before and it made my engine knock and crap. i had to flush it out then it went away

there is no reason to run premium unless you have an engine modified to where it requires it. you are wasting your money running premium on a stock motor.

you're right. my friends 2000 something ranger will ping running regular.

but 99% of the time a stock motor will run the same on 87 as on premium. (unless you are talking about cars like svt cobras, or hi-po bmw and merdedes)

you shouldn't have to run premium unless you have done the following things: bumped the timing, running a supercharger, or turbo charger, or increased the compression of the motor.
