Default new bbk intake

hey my name is rob i have a 86 gt that ran great but now i just did a bbk intake with a e 303 cam it is running real rich and is sucking in oil and fuel into the top plenum not getting the power it should i am low on vacuum should the cam cause this? i am running out of ideas what could be causing this i am wondering now though if the low vacuum is making my fuel pressure regulator is dumping fuel if anyone can help that would be great

Have you converted your car to mass air, if not that very well could be the root of your problem. Non-mass air cars don't always like cam swaps. Also, do you have an adjustable fuel pressure regulator with a gauge, this is a necessity to not put mass air on your car if you want it to run right.

It's reasonable to see some oil being sucked into the intake from the crankcase, it happens on any car that the intake is hooked to a valve cover with a vacum line. I don't know how fuel would be in the upper intake, that would mean it would be going against the air stream.

Which BBK intake did you install, they have a couple new intakes.

yes i have converted to mass air, and no i dont have the adjustable fuel pressure regulator i forgot to order it. im thinking if i get one and adjust the fuel pressure lower and i will compensate for the low vacuum and the dumping of to much fuel. its the newest bbk intake with the fuel rails and 70 mm throttle body
