hey i'm from Aust and i'm doing up a 289 and i was told GT40 heads were great for it and gave them plenty hp just wanted your thought on it and any alternatives

G'day mate,
I'm from Aus as well.Have a 327 hp 289 in my 66 coupe and it has Dart Junior heads.They are getting on a bit now and are only cast iron but the engine goes very well.I believe the GT40 heads are good also.I guess you should do some comparisons with runner,valve sizes and flow rates.Also consider what size cam you intend on running and at what rev range it will work at.The heads should obviously suit.

GT40 heads should work great, just follow the makers instructions with them.......
