B&M HAMMER SHIFTER.
I was just browsing through the new mustangs unlimited magazine and I saw it.
It says it allows you to shift through the gears one at a time with no missed shifts and no overshifting. It says it works like a motorcycle shifter, it ratchets up or down to the next gear only, then returns to the upright position.
soo does it mean what it says or is there some catch? how do you put it in park/reverse/neutral.
thanks for help

They're pretty neat. I think they're pretty much just for the cool-factor. I had a B&M Z-gate in my '68 Cougar. A ratchet shifter is a ratchet shifter. They all do the same thing. They are neat to play around with though.
Each time you push/pull the handle it moves the transmission up/down only one gear position at a time. The transmission itself doesn't change at all though. When in "drive" the tranny will still auto-shift just like normal.
