RE: radar dectors?
Rocky mountain radar detectors are also awesome. The owner and designer designed the radar jamming packages for the b-2 stealth bomber adn then took his technology elsewhere when his contract was up.

RE: radar dectors?
for those of you that have radar detectors that have cords, i did something today that you might like. i have a 00 and i took off the windshield defroster vent and then i fed a wire from the vent down under the dash on the drivers side. i used that to pull the detectors cord through then i put the small end of the cord through the closest vent hole and hooked it to the radar detector. for the end that plugs into the socket, i ran it kinda behind the stereo then i ran the cord out of the botom trim piece and into the socket. sometime soon im going to get a little plate to cover the socket hole and im gonna move the socket and everything behind the trim.
and cobra radar decectors are really good for the money.

I've had a V1 since early '90's. Just recently sent it back for upgrades. The one and only
time I was pulled over with the V1 was when the officer was sitting on a blind corner with
his instant on system. To late to slow down. Otherwise, the detector has never failed
to find the radar unit. As far as too many false alerts, it's not hard to filter them out with
the least sensitive setting. After you get used to the display, you can tell which are false and
which are not.
On the subject of jamming, it's illegal to jam radar! There are two types of laser jammers on the market.
I can tell you one type works well. It'll give you about 5-10 seconds to slow down before the officer can
read your speed. Saved my butt several times in Ohio and elsewhere. The other is called a Blinder. I
don't have any experience with it though.
I hid the flat line for the V1 under the windshield molding and down the pillar. The only piece of wire hanging
is the final tab that plugs into the V1 next to the rearview mirror. I installed another power point under the
passenger side dash for the V1 power plug. Works fine!
