Default Crate Engines/ Pricing

Hey guys,

I got another question.

Say I look into purchasing a crate engine and i buy it for, say, $5,000.

The Company states the engine comes with everything except the distributor, Carburetor, Water pump, Wires and pulleys.

Thats not the only things i need to buy correct?

What other things would i have to purchase to get my new engine in my car and running.

By the time I purchase an engine i will have everything done from suspension to breaks and transmission.

What's left for me to do after i buy an engine??

If i lack enough specificity, here is the engine I'm looking into buying.

Thanks a ton guys for your input!!!

Ripped! you will need motor mounts since you currently have the 289.

Off the top of my head you will need:

1. Motor Mounts
2. Long Tube Headers,
3. Plug wires
4. water pump
5. distributor
6. Ignition source (preferably MSD)
7. coil (see above)
8. new transmisson
9. new exhaust (for long tube headers)
10. If clearance problems with the headers, you may need aftermarket steering shaft
11. thats about all i can think of off the top of my head.

Hope this helps

I was worried that i would have to buy another $3,000 worth of stuff(although depending on what i buy, it most likely could).

Thanks for The Info Nick!
