Default Slowly learning...

just installed my BBK Fenderwell CAI tonight. think it took like 45 mins... but it didnt even feel like it was that long. Felt like 15 mins. I enjoyed doing it too and having a finished product to look at.

Second engine mod I've done, first being the Underdrive pulleys Slowly changing my car for the better.
Can't wait til my intake comes in... That's going to be real fun to change(along with TB/EGR/Fuel Injectors)
My shorty H pipe came in today too.
Going to try and get my LT headers and shorty H pipe on friday
Love my car...

Hope the Headers/shorty H doesnt give me too much of a hassle. Is the full exhaust usually an easy job? I've only done easy engine upgrades so far
(chrome breather cap being the Easiest!)

As long as you are patient and have the room to work....it's no big deal.....especially easy if you have a means to lift the car above your head.
if you have no patience young grasshopper.......MWAHAHAHAHAAHAAAAA....sorry..... it can be a handful.

you'll enjoy it.
and cranking it up after you're done and hearing it, knowing that it was your work.......makes it all worthwhile.

Exhuasts can be a pain in the *** especially when you're doing it in a driveway and not on a lift. Make sure you go easy on the header stud bolts, the last thing you wanna do is break one of those. As for everything else you just have to get it all lined up. You'll probably have to readjust the tail pipes, I forget what you've got for a cat-back setup. Don't tighten anything up until you've got all the bolts on then start with the headers and move back. Also don't foget to get hardware, unless what you're getting comes with it, which I kinda doubt they will, you'll have to go to a hardware store or something and get all the nuts, bolts, washers, and lock-nuts you'll need.

they aren't has bad as say.....long tube headers on a 69 mustang with a 351 cleveland or 460 shoehorned between the shock towers.
Try changing header gaskets on one of those and keeping just 10% of your skin. [:@]
just remember to take your time and think it through...I've done header swaps on the drive before....not the easiest way...but it can be done.
We have faith in you!

Oh poo.....can't get your hands dirty looking at it.
I'm picking though, If you feel it is out of your league.....don't start into it.
It's best to let someone else do it than you risk getting frustrated and not be able to finish.
And give BBK a call on the header squeeze....the tech guys are friendly and knowledgeable about fitting problems.....
