Default Shift Kit?

I was wondering if you could turn a shift kit on and off....so your not always getting the max RPM's from your automatic transmission. Mainly because i was worried about it using more gas.

Can you tell me if it does use more gas and if you can turn it on and off easily? Thx

You'll actually see an improvement in gas mileage with a shift kit. And no, you can't turn it on and off.

If you had an electronically controlled transmission you could do such...

Just get the fully manual shift kit from transgo. YOu can shift at whatever RPM you like.

www.google.com ......[sm=smiley32.gif]

Just type in Trans Go Shift kit + mustang

you'll see. They run about $100...the expensive part is the install, although they claim you can do it yourself!
