Default RE: brakes question

disc brakes are much better. they stop a car faster, easier to change. look much better than drums. drums suck and are a pain in the a$$ to change.

disc brakes

drum brakes

The main dif is the disc style, the caliper squeezes the pads against the rotor stopping the wheel. The drums are the opposite, the wheel cylinder expands the shoes outward against the drum. AS already mentioned above, the disc style has much better stopping power and are easier to change.
