stupid brake ? i think
I bet while you were power sliding you might have lost a wheel bearing....so go pull the wheel and find out....rotor are about 50.00 a piece good pads about 35.00 and you might as well replace the bearings another 40 or so
Sounds like youve worn the lining off of the pads. Take it to Midas or Sears or some large chain with an auto shop. Your probably looking at $100. I definately wouldnt drive it till I got it fixed. Besides screwing up your rotors and costing anywhere from $80 to $100 a piece or more, you could cause or be in an accident and hurt yourself or someone else. I would do it myself but you indicate that youre not very mechanically inclined. If you dont have a second car, bum a ride wherever you need to go till you get it fixed. Oh yeah when they replace the fronts have them check and adjust the rears, you will regain the use of you E-brake again. as a rule of thumb you shouldnt have to replace the rear brakes but about every third time you replace the fronts...

Mustangs don't have squeelers on the pads. Lots of cars do, but they're not on my Stang. They weren't on my Camaro or Corvette for that matter.

Some cheap brake companies dont have them but most or any quality set will have them.
I cant see them putting less than a penny's worth of steel on an economic **** box but not on a muscle car or cars.
A lot of people though will bend them back or cut them off i personally dont.
