If not a socket and hammer works well too.
First and obviously remove the drive shaft and remove the clips on the u joints with needle nose pliers.Then get a socket just a little smaller than the diameter and drive her out.
Some can be a pain in the ***.I have had to take a few in and be pressed out which is no big deal but most will come out.

No, I think he means "NEEDLE BEARINGS"!
You can also use a large C-clamp and some sockets as a press to help remove the crosses from the joints. Just be real careful with the new ones so you don't disturb the needle bearings as they can be a real pain in the *** to get back in if you let them get loose in the cups. Once you got one end done, throw some duct tape around the joint to hold it together while you work on the other end and this will keep the needle bearings in their cups.
