Default Water water everywhere...

Hi everyone here's my problem. I have a whole butt load of water pouring out the bottem of my car. (1996 GT auto). At first I though "o great my head gaskets gone". So I jack my car up and take a look under it to see where this water is coming from. I find out that is not my head gasket but rather some plug with a little orange wire going to it. It looks pretty woren. Any body have a clue as to what this plug is. I figured it may have been a frost plug or somthing along those lines but when I called my local auto parts store they said they had no such part on record for my car.

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Thanks...

Where is the plug? Intake, block, ??? Could be temp sensor if on the manifold. Could be cracked block. Check for oil in the water.
