I run 89 in my 13 sec car has several mods...no problems......a car can actually be slow with a high octange # as compression,spark,timing can not burn this fuel completely....my other car is 550hp+ I used 93 and 1 can of 104+ not 1 problem and I'm not about to pay 3-5 buys a gallon to run them street...now on the stip the purple stuff is all this is need I don't see ANY car here needing the 116 stuff as this is what some of my pro stock engine run on and thier over 1000hp!
