RE: what should my next mod be
i take it you have the mach1?
how about a new midpipe? or gears?
you could always finish up the intake with a new tb/p combo, but i think that would be the less noticable of the three
i just mentioned
gears will give you more pop off the line, the midpipe will improve the sound and give you a moderate hp boost while makin your car a lil more efficent

RE: what should my next mod be
Accufab has an awesome TB out right now that can really help your car as more mods are added The part number is CTB99-01 and runs $389.99. I would also strongly suggest a C&L MAF System & Inlet Pipe (Part Number 10699PM1) It runs $369.00 and would give you a better bump at this point than the TB I believe. According to their dyno sheet the Maf Kit and Intake gave 15RWHP @4000 Peak 8RWHP @5250rpms and Torque was really impressive at 23.5RWTQ @ 4000rpms and peak was 6.5RWTQ @ 4400rpms. Its a good kit and will give you a kick in the pants at 4000rpms :P Mixed with the TB you would be doing great, the two together really arent going over your budget too much.
Other things you can look at (Not what I would do first) would be Hooker Super Comp LT Headers 3.5" Collector, 3" reducer, 3" Hi-flow cats, 3" Summit or Borla generic short X-Pipe, 3" inlet/outet mufflers of your choice dumps or take outs. (This is the reason why I would not do this one first because it requires alot more money) The headers will set you back almost $600 dollar in themselves.
You could always get a full pulley set but it really isnt as strong as a punch as a new intake/maf/tb or gears.
FRPP Gears are always a good choice and last a long time with minimal wear and are the only gears to have a bevled edge to minimize friction and failure. But they lower over overall speed and fuel economy, but you get out of the hole like a raped ape.
And of course there is always a hand held tuners, They do wonders to help the cars overall performance and remove or increase limiters. Though IMO if you are going to spend the money for a tuner then just finish all the mods that you think that you want to do then take it to a Dyno and have it Dyno Tuned, pref by Diablosport. Its a little more money but its well worth it and goes way beyond whatever the hand held could do.
Have fun.
