We were driving down the road about 3grand on the tack...car backfired ran like crap until we shut it off. Will not restart. Put new timing chain and gears, new distributer. It is firing just fine and getting fuel but, other than that it will not run. Can anybody please help. What should I try to get this baby running again. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

 

How old are your plugs

 

First we need more info? Why did you change the timing chain? When you adjusted the timing, did you do it with spount plug removed? Did you put a new TFI module when you changed the Distributer? Did you look at your TPS ? Many things could be wrong, just need some more info.

only a month they are shorty header plugs

 

Ignition module coulda went bad too. Seen it happen, car gets really hot, fries module. Either runs like **** or not at all. Its a pretty cheap piece at your local autozone etc. When was the last time you put plug wires on it?
