Default help, lost lug nut key

i have lost the key to my wheel locks, any solutions? Does anyone sell keys? I am supposed to have tires put on tomorrow, the guy at the shop said they could remove them, but not salvage them. I am concerned about wheel damage when they do this. Anybody have a recommendation?

most shops have an assortment of keys? where did they come from the zone? check there maybe u can just buy a new set with a lock there is a chance of damage to the wheel so i look again or search around and see if any of the shops have keys

If it's factory Ford wheel locks, they have a master set in the shop. And yes they can order you a new key.

A royal pain in the butt I can tell you that. Mine had an old set of American Racing Centerlines. The key has been long gone according to the previous owner. I was told a tire shop could get them off but it would be like $10 each. I cheated the hangman but mine were exposed. If yours are in a recess, pay whatever they want cause I'm telling you, it aint easy! I ended up grinding one side flat and inserted a stud (bolt with the head cut off) into an oversize socket. The bolt on the flat spot will wedge and basic physics forced a pinch point on the lug nut. I got them off....after about 2 hours of cussing! I looked at a 98 Trans Am that had $2000 wheels with a trashed interior for 3 grand. The wheels were recessed type with no key. After what I had done only days before, I walked away. Like I said, A ROYAL PAIN! Pay the man, get new locks. Like the other post said, if they are factory, it should not be an issue. Good luck[sm=outcold.gif][sm=signs003.gif]

lol or swallow it & just upchuck it when needed

And whatever you do, don't let the tire guys use air tools on a locking key!!! I took my car into a tire shop & TOLD them NOT to use air tools on my key. Well, just about a minute later the mechanic comes into the waiting room with my wheellock key,, IN 2 PIECES!! [:@] I said WTF! don't use air tools on my key!! He said "Umm I wasn't gonna use the airgun while putting them back on..." Fuggin idiot
