Default Gears?

I have a 2000 mustang V6, 5 speed, CAI, and dual exhaust. What gears would be better? 3.55, 3.73, 4.10? Whats the difference? What is your choice and why???

the higher the gear ratio the higher your rpms will be. so you should find out what u have in there now so you can figure out how much of a difference each gear will make. and everyone on here usually battles about which is better between 3.73 and 4.10s lol
so with 4.10s you will be reving alot higher on the highway
3.73s not so high
3.55 les then that. but you probley have 3.55s in there now?

they dont make 3.55s for the 7.5 its 3.45s, as they dont make 4.30s either[:@]

the RPM difference between 3.73s and 4.10s is like 200 rpms and 1 mpg, and you will still be able to have a top speed of 150+ mph calc

They are stock now, (thought it was 3.27 or somethin stock), and i hit 60 at 2100 rpms in fifth. What would it be for 3.73 and 4.10s? Does it help 0-60 time at all? What does it really do for performance??

I'd go with 3.73's, I had 375's in my GTO and they were mint. I have 355's in my 89 GT and it has good pull through 2nd 3rd and 4th. 1st gear is real short and 5th on the highway i stay just over 2 grand at about 70 mph. Unless your gonna be on a track often and have some sick power theres really no need for something as steep as 410's.

you wont be disapointed no matter what ur choice is

as for a top speed of 150+ with a v6 and 4.10 gears.......not a chance!

Yeah closer to about 135 maybe 140mph. I have 390's and very soon switching to 4.10's it's not that big of a differance but from stock it makes the world of a difference. 3.45's are a waste of money.
