Default Traction Control Indicator

HI,

I recently noticed the traction control indicator light appear on my 2004 mustang. I was wondering if this is an issue that I should have looked at or if the light appears when traction is not gained between the tires and the pavement. It only appeared when I accelerated quickly from a stopped position. I have seen it appear twice.

Thanks
Mike

Yes that is what it is suppose to do. It filcks on when the tires slipped and stays on until the motor has returned to it's normal state and the tires are done slipping.

Simple fix is to turn it off.

Thanks SilverGTV8 and bmorrisj. That is what I was thinking was the case, so thanks for confirming.

Know that espcially with a 5 speed, turning off the traction control is a big help in racing. If I get an espically nasty 2nd gear scratch the T/C comes on and bogs me down, not to mention what it does to 1st gear.
