I just bought a 90 LX 5.0 convertible and it has some minor problems I would like to fix. The gas guage just stopped working, (I went

out to the car started it up and it stayed at E even though I had gas). Passenger door lock does not work, however both the driver and

passenger switches work. Both back windows don't roll down (elec) switches are hooked up but no sound or anything happens when

pushed. If anyone has had these problems and knows how to fix them or has a suggestion and knows the best place to get any parts

or has them I would appreciate it. Thanks

The window motors are prone to fail; odds are you need to get a couple new motors to replace them with. www.50resto.com used to offer them..... Same with the door lock solinoid\actuator. The gas gauge is a bit toughter; you need to check the wiring to the tank. The wiring is at the very rear of the car tucked up between the bumper & tank. You may have to drop the tank to inspect\test the wiring and the sender\float. It could be the gauge in the dash as well that has failed....

 

thanks for the help. I was assuming the same probs for the door lock and windows. but i am unsure of the gas guage. I was told the is something in the tank that if i drop it and shake it it may reseat and work? but i guess i'll have to check the wires first to see if they are indeed getting power.
