I used to deliver gas to gas stations. You'd be surprised what some of the gas stations will do to increase their profit. And adding water is only one thing they do. I recommend you get the gas from the same place as much as you can. Then if there is a problem, you know where it came from, and can approach the owner on it. Trust me, they don't like being approached. Because once they are, they know someone's watching and keeping tabs on them.
Hmmm, maybe that's the problem with the original poster. If he's getting his gas at the same place all the time, maybe the quality of the gas where he gets it has changed. If he gets it from different places, then we don't really know.
