Default Window slightly off track? NEED HELP.

Well, my girl has a 2000 Mustang, v6. The other day, we noticed that there was a lot of air coming in while driving. We pulled over and noticed the window seemed a little off track. The front part of the window....towards the fender.....is about a half inch too high from where it is supposed to be. The back of the window is about a half inch lower, allowing air, and now water to come in. Does anyone know , once I take the door panel off, how to adjust the window so it closes properly? Also, pics would be great if available.

Thanks

Paul

Youd need to take the door panel off on the inside of the car, it could have moved around in one of the stabalizer's, or theres retainers that let the glass slide up and down in those could have shifted..... Also check out the equalizer arm.....

Yea, just pull off the trip panel and see what's going on, you may just have to put some stuff back the way it was.

before taking off the interior door panel you might try this. lower the window down all the way and push both the front and rear tracks back into the frame and see if they move at all. Then raise the window about 1/2 way. using your hands, pull up on the back end while pushing down on the front end to see if this will move it around in the track. then try rolling it up and down a few times to see if this fixed the trouble. you might also use a little silicon lube spray in the tracks to make it slide easier so it doesn't get cocked again. if it stays cocked then you will have to pull off the door panel and get inside and find out where it is messed up.

The door panels aren't hard to take off, couldn't hurt to have them off while you're doing all that, at least you could see a little bit of what's going on.
