Mach 460 Head Unit
My Mach 460 6 cd changer has almost died now, the cds get jammed whenever i try and eject anything. The local dealer wants 320 bucks for a new one with a 2 year garuntee, a dealer across the country wants 210 for it with a one year garuntee, and bone yards want around 130 for it with a 30 day garuntee. is there anyone who has a spare one they're willing to part with from a 00-04 convertible? or anyone who has an idea of where i can get a cheaper one with a garuntee?
mine when u turn the music down it goes louder n the cd get stuck all the time the problem is u go aftermarket u have to rewire all the speakers. can anyone give me a couple poniters. i have rewired a 01 express van and that was easy cuz it just had the one plug in the ack n the gt ones have like three

Do a google search on the 460. There was a web site that had the wiring schematics.
The head unit has a built in amp and I think drives the front tweeters. It also has a crossover and it feeds the two rear amps.

mine works great man, this is the trick to taking out cds and putting in new ones. just take another cd and try to shove it in, or adjust it as the cd is coming in and out. it works like a charm.
i was going to get a new head unite as well.. but i started doing that and i can take CDs out prety easy now. and putting them back in. i love our sound system, its just too bad that the CDs have trubble coming in and out.
