I just changed out the fuel filter and now the car will not start. Before pulling out the old filter I removed the fuel pump fuse and ran the car until it died out. I was told this was necessary to relieve the fuel pressure. I also took off the gas cap. Replaced the cap and fuse and it just cranks .

I feel like a complete idiot !
Help please.

 

Well it would help if I had replaced the fuse in the correct slot.
