Default steeda firewall and quadrant-no luck

So I just installed the firewall adjuster and the quadrant. What a p.i.t.a that was to get the cable on. Once I was done i'm not even able to tune in the clutch throw. It has more play in it than it does stock. Everything seems to be correctly installed. Anyone else have this problem? So I need to get an aftermarket clutch cable? Are the aftermarket cables longer than the stock so it can be dialed in more? I think thats my problem because the cable is so tight, the firewall adjuster is all the way in and the cable is tight as hell.

Also, the amount of throw between being engaged and disengaged is now shorter, but its far out. As in when i have the clutch in and release it, a large amount of it does nothing until the last bit of the throw where it grabs. How do I pull the clutch closer so I dont have to move my foot as much, is that where the new cable comes into play?

Which hook did you put it on? the middle one or the one farther from the firewall?

there is two hooks on it, the one closest to the firewall, no way I would be able to get it on the 2nd one. Is it the 2nd one that would shorten it or no?

If the cable is too tight, you need to find a way to loosen it. So if it is on the hook farthest from the firewall, move it to the one closer...that should put slack in it. Then use the firewall adjuster to tweak it.

Its on the hook closer to the firewall already and the firewall adjuster is all the way in and its tight.
