Default 4.6 or 5.4 truck engine into '88 Mustang?

The price is right. It looks like the intake is taller, but otherwise, any issues or reasons why it wouldn't work?

eventually ill be droppin a 4.6 into mine, but a 5.4 lightning/cobra R engine would be badass. and it will fit, there's just a possibility of needing a hood with some sort of cowl to it for the 5.4

thats not a reason not to do it[&:]

but you will need the right tranny, k member, suspension (if the car is currently a 4banger), exhaust, wiring harness with computer, whatever you need to adapt everything to the gauge cluster, fuel lines, engine mounts, etc.

its gonna be a lot of work, but it will work... eventually.
