EBAY intake?
Saw these $45 intakes on ebay. I figure they don;t do much anyways and I need a new filter, why not. They all say "not retail. No instructions. Reccomend professional install."
Anyone ever bought these? Are they ok for what they are? Install go pretty easily without instructions?

that filter is a holly filter... just as good as a k&n... wouldn't worry about replacing it. But do go out and get a cleaning kit and do a nice fresh oil job (not thick... just very thin coat) before installation.
As far as installation... it's pretty self explanitory... make it fit. The flat panel with a hole and a blue ring is where it goes up against the side of the inside fender for the pipe to go through into where the filter is... your MAF sensor hooks in at the other end... and the the other pipe goes to your TB plate... the rubber couplings??? You guessed it... use them to connect everything. It's a very quick installation.
I give it a 1 out of 10 beer skill level.

having a bigger air filter is only neccessary if you NEED a bigger air filter... does it make sense to have a filter that flows 5000 CFMs when your engine only eats up 600???? Buy what you need, that way you'll have more money for more mods later... don't listen to the "bigger is better" crowd.
