Default RE: Shift Kit

They re calibrate the transmission to shift more efficiently, it makes every shift faster and smoother... In a stock AOD you have a pause between each gear... And you have a big pause from N to 1st... with a shift kit it decreases the pause in between shifting...

It is very very noticeable the way it makes your tranny shift... And even more with diff rear gears......

Im running a Transgo with 4:10's in the rear and its hella fun to drive.... It shifts so fast to 2nd and 3rd you barely feel it just the back end slide all over lol

Transgo's usually run about 100 bucks, and I prefer Transgo over any of them.....

I did my own they are easy to do yourself if you have the proper tools... Im not sure how much it is too have someone do it.....

Is it harder on the car when you put the shift kit in? I know you normaly get second and third gear chirps with them so they seem to shift pretty hard???

keep it in drive. or shift manually .. b&m shifter will work well too... the shift kit increases line pressure and will actually extend transmission life.
