Default brake light switch

first id like to say hi to this forum. just replaced my power brake booster on my 1970 mustang, problem i had is with the brake light switch. i found a spring on the floor and figure it must go with the switch. anyway i couldnt figure out how to get it where it seemed to need to go. but if i put pressure downward on the back of the switch and held it the brake lights would work perfect. what i did was to go and buy a spring and hook it on the rear of the switch and then hook it to pull the rear of the switch downwards. seems to work but id like to know if anyone has a picture of how the spring i foound hooks on the switch to make it work. by the way where i live, arizona, its in the 110-115 degrees mark and oh what a time crawling around under the dash to do this job.
