Idle Problem
When I first start the car, it will not idle. After I drive for a while the problem goes away. Sometimes it cuts off when I start it, and other times it wants to cut off then picks up and idles ok.
Thanks in advance for any help.

RE: Idle Problem
i want you to try somthing when you start the car if it starts idleing goofy turn the air conditioner on. see if it fixes it i kno it sounds goofy but if it does its your mass air flow sensor. if you have traction control on that model turn that on if the air doesnt work let it idle for like 30 mins see if that works. there somthing about certain power things in the car like air and traction control that make the car even out an idle. if you can get it to sit and idle properly with the air on the mass air flow sensor should readjust.

RE: Idle Problem
Change the fuel filter and add a good fuel additive to an almost empty tank and fill up with your favorite gas. After 1/2 to 3/4 a tank you should notice a difference. With all this crap gas floating around, you can't always be sure what you are getting, and with prices such as they are, you can't always expect to opt for the best gas available at any given time. Your engine then cruds itself up and runs rough. Use a fuel "system" cleaner rated for around 3,000 miles. Valvoline Synth Power is one, Chevron Techrol (or Tectron, whatever) is another. I believe Gumout makes a high mileage system cleaner as well. Cleans out your entire fuel system from injectors to valves, rings, piston heads, etc. If you use a quality cleaner, you will notice a difference. No nickel and dime kind of additive will do much of anything lasting for you. Don't cheap out. Of course you may also have a sensor or two that are sending bogus info to your computer from time to time and screwing its brain up a bit. Bad oxygen sensors and dirty MAF sensor wires are common causes. Good luck!
