You wan't 4.10's on a 5sp 4.6 GT, no doubt. I have 4.10's and I've ridden in a 3.73 car - man what a waste. And why you want 275's in the front? Thats BIG.

I would go w/4.10's, a stainless Dynomax ultraflow catback which is only $399 shipped from www.brothersperformance.com , and get a Bassani catlytic X so you can still pass inspection. Plus Bassani has got these new cats which sound like your running no cats.

4.10 will blow your tires off unless you got a v-6,,,my cobra first gear was so short a had to shift to second around a corner,,, for tire spin..and impressing ricers go with 4.10s,,,but you will get wasted on a 50 mph rolling run if you drop in 2sec rpms will be to high ,,in 3rd, you wont have enought oats,,i swaped mine for 3.73s just after 800 miles,,,i have lots of pull ..not just shifting away

Its not just 1st and 2nd gear that is helped by 4.10's, but yea traction can be a problem in 1st gear. Not many people are happy with 3.73's on a mod motor - especially cobras. And 1st doesnt seem short to me with 4.10's, I take 1st to 15-20mph still just normal driving around town, before I took it to 20 - 25mph, not much difference really - but to each their own I say

You know its always best to try to drive a 3.73 car and a 4.10 car to determine what best suits you - not everyone has the same opinion (hehe lol of course not!)

if you're that scared of the 4.10 and feel like you wont be getting anything out of the 3.73, then there is always the 3.90! [sm=smiley20.gif]

It's more of a differance on the 4.6's since the stock ratio is much higher then on the older 5.0's.
