I'm having problems installing these (PROLIFT) struts... When I close the hood the brackets won't stay put... they twist. I have them bolted on pretty tight and used the supplied double sided tape. I'm not sure what the tape was for but it sure didn't help prevent the bracket from twisting out of position. I'm pretty sure I bolted them on just as instructed. Any suggestions? I'm thinking of securing the brackets with another screw but I really don't want to drill if I don't have too.

I also noticed that the rod seems to bend as the hood is lowered. Anyone install these and have some suggestions?
