Default 03-04 Cobra Engine

I have a 99 V6 right now but I need to change my engine so I was thinking of putting in a cobra engine instead of another V6. What kind of problems might I run into doing this? What should I look for? Any ideas on places to buy the engine?

why will i need a new hood? i know i will need exhaust, wiring, and the computer. i was wondering if this would be any diff than switching to a 2v V8. It will prob cost me between 3,000 and 3,500. thats why it wont be getting done till I go back to Iraq. I was also thinking of putting a t-56 in if I could find one. oh yea, i already have a 8.8 with 3.73's i put in when i tore up my rear end last oct.

Looking at pics of the two side by side, I dont see why not. But you should measure to make sure.

Well, it doesnt really matter. if i have to get a hood then i will its not a big deal. i mean i dont think 500 dollars is a big deal when u think about the price of the swap and all plus i will be just getting back from iraq so i will have all that money saved up. nobody knows any sites where i can buy the engine at?

I'm sure you could get it from fordracing.com but its gonna set you back more than you think, money wise.

yea, if i get it from ford racing it will prob cost me around 11,000 just for the engine. i know there are sites out there where u can buy used and rebuilt engines but i cant remember them. they are only around 2000 on some of those sites. thats more what im looking for an engine with less than 10,000 miles on it will be fine with me
