Try www.car-part.com or ebay for the engine. You will be very lucky to find a Terminator engine for under $7,000

ORIGINAL: Red3
What kind of problems might I run into doing this? What should I look for? Any ideas on places to buy the engine?
I think you should stand on the shoulders of others and not try to reinvent the wheel. If I were you, I would contact this guy

Hey, Red3, over here!!!

and find out exactly what he went through - what went right, what went wrong, things to avoid, things he wished he's done - that sort of thing. It's doable (lotta work or lotta money or both!). What's your budget?

Engines can be found in many different places, but as you can see starting with eBay is not a bad idea at all. What you can do is find one on auction, then call the place and get a sense for their professionalism and level of knowledge. There are a few very credible Mustang parts sources on that site.
Good luck!

just pull a couple spark plug wires if you get in a wreck, it'll probably trick them
