Default Electrical question...alternator or voltage regulator?

Hi all.

New to this site and I have a question. About 9 months ago, my '90 LX 5.0 started acting up. We had just moved and went to the car in the morning and it wouldnt crank over. I had to get a new battery. Since then until about 2-3 weeks ago, I would go to start the car in the morning and would only have problems with it once in a blue moon. Now, its every day or two that there is no juice in the battery. I can tell when the car is getting ready to go out when at night, I come to a stop and the headlights dim when idling and the car acts like it's going to die unless I keep it revved a little. Is this just a simple alternator needing to be replaced?

Thanks!!

Ya to me too it sounds like youre alternator is about done, Once youre alternator dies it grounds youre battery to lose current.

Alternator def but wouldn't hurt to check out the battery also.. make sure theres still enough water in it and your terminals are clean
