i just bought this car 3weeks ago and everytime i fix something, something else has got to be fixed. [:@] sorry just had to rant a little.
does anybody have tips and how to change the grommet that connects the filler neck to the gas tank.
this is the first car i have owned that i am doing all the work myself.

i changed my fuel pump once and i ended up taking what i think ur talking about out... all u should have to do is pull (more like wrestle) the hose out of the gas tank, and there should be 4 screws where you pour the gas in.. unscrew those, take the hose out of the tank... replace with new one.. sorry if im talking about something else but i think this is what ur talking about

I think youre meaning not a gas filler gromet, its only a rubber hose from filler neck to gas tank. Hmm their is a rubber gasket that goes where the sending unit sits?

take the 3 bolts out at the gas cap, might need to drop the tank a little bit, pull the filler tube out of the tank, take the grommet out, clean the surface of the hole in the tank, slightly grease the new grommet and put back in. put the fill tube back in, raise the tank back up (if you have to) and bolt the neck back up around the gas cap , done. any questions just write
