Default Wiring problem need help

Hello, my son has a 67 mustang and we have a wiring problem. All the lights work except for the brake lights and turn signals. I found the brake light switch bad so I replaced it. Now the brake lights come on but so does the front turn signals and the turn signals on the dash. When the brakes are applied all these lights come on until you let go of the brake pedal. The turn signals still do not work. I have no power going to the flasher. The book says to disconnect the flasher and put a jumper wire and one of the turn signals should work, not. Any help would be great.

What book are you using? I'm not entirely sure what would cause that but a shop manual might help you out.

I would think that if all your wiring is correct, and there are no obvious shorts in the wire harness, you have a ground problem.Older cars are sometimes corroded (or simply have a bad connection)at the ground. If you already checked for them you ,I am unable to think of anything else.
