Whistle Noise
I get a whistle noise after the revs come down after stepping on the gas. When the car is at idle it's fine after acouple of mins but when i step on the gas i get the noise. It's coming from the throttle body side. it just started to do it.. Thank smuch. I'ts also supercharged..
Before I read the last line, i was going to be a wise *** and say "maybe it's supercharged"
LoL, superchargers are supposed to whine. Well, depensing on the model they are. But if you have a S/C and it's whining, be happy that it's working

He said whistle not "whine" [sm=icon_beat.gif] But there is nothing sweeter than a S/C whine I agree !!
Sounds like you may have an air leak somewhere.
whistle...whine... people call it different things and different S/C's make different sounds. I've always called it a whine instead of a whistle when I hear a turbine or something spooling up. Guess it's just the pilot in me. Either way, i still think it's normal (unless we know what typwe of S/C it is and we can hear a sound clip.)
But boy do they sound nice!!!

my car had same problem for the longest time. it is not a vacum leak, that is what we thought. if you have a larger throttle body, it is air coming through the throttle body because it dosent close all the way. what i did was take throtle body off intake and drill a 1/16 inch hole in the flap, this will let air go through the hole instead of around the flap. since i did this it has not whistled, except for the s/c

ya for some reason i think i did that quite a few times and oh wait it didnt stop it, then i replaced the iac so for some stupid reason i called the manufactors of my throtle body and the said that my size throtle body they had problems with this and that the solution was exactly what i posted earlier.
OK i know i have some Air leakage from the Shaft side and also on the other side. I ordered gaskets and I'll try that. I know 100% it not the Chargers Whine ... But 100% some air leak. I'll take a look into the problem and let you all know what i find thanks much
