Default distributor ?

Here's a good one. Looking to put new distributor in mustang. is a '90 model block different that a '80's model block? The mallory distributor I have is about half an inch shorter than the stock distributor. Will this still work?

Shorter where? The important dimension is what actually goes into the block, not the part sticking out. As far as I know, the 302 block is the same through the ages as far as dizzy's are concerned.

Roller cams require a different gear than flat tappets. Could you post a pic of the two side by side lined up by the shoulder where they sit in the block?

Below the text box when you hit reply there is a button that says "click here to upload". It's pretty self explanatory from them. If you need to resize it do it in MS Paint using "sketch/skew".

Thanks for the help. This is the efi distributor it's 1/2 inch longer than the 1962 - 1980 distributor from the bottom of gear to the end of shaft.
