Default oil sending unit?

Yes I'm a newbie, and a DA. Where can I locate the Oil Sending Unit on a 98 Mustang V6/.

I have an Oil gauge that starts flickering when in Drive at stops. It usually doesn't start doing it til the car has been running. I can flick it in to neutral and the gauge will go to zero pressure.

any thoughts on that being the issue. If anyone knows where that oil sending unit is I'd appreciate it.

Just because you said you were a DA, is the oil level good? The sending unit will be near the oil filter, most likely.

yeah plenty oil in it. i wonder if it has a dirty oil screen too. I'm just tired of paying people 80 bucks an hour at the dealership if I can do it myself. Looks like I'll actually have to get underneath the car for this one. Is there a save way to do that with out just trusting a jack.

Most senders can be accessed from above the car. You could get car ramps to drive up on. Or spend $30 for a pair of jack stands.
