V6 Mustangs...
the only beef ive ever had with a 6er is the new one thats expected to be out in either 09/10. i like the whole DOHC/24V but they gotta leave the dispacement up.
i know i shouldnt be one to talk, but no matter how many cylinders you have, american muscle cars are about displacement.

It depends on what YOU want from your Mustang. Both V6 and V8 Mustang's both look great. V6 will save you some money, and a V8 will give you a nicer exhaust note and more performance.
I got the 06 V6 because I was actually on the market for an econobox, but was able to get the Mustang for less than I expected. I love my V6, but some day I'd like to get a GT.

There have been dozens and dozens of these kinds of posts before. I always say...why not go both!! Thats what I did. Bought my 02 V6 5-speed in 04 for 13K and my 1990 5.0 5-speed for $1.5K. Its easy that way to keep a DD and faster car seperate. I've mentioned over and over in these "V6 or V8" threads and I dont think anyone has ever listened to me. Atleast nobody has ever quoted or done a followup on what I've said. I know people's money situation may not be the best, and if that is the case, go V6. If you get the V8 you will be paying more insurance (depending on what year, my V8 is actually MUCH less than my 6 because its older) also, that V8 will drain you of mods and in some cases more gas.
Do whatever is best for your financial situation.

and my .02 either a 6 or a cobra, i feel 2Vs are worth it for the people who will leave a car stock and want to go fast, maybe do bolt ons, a v6 is a cheap motor to build and is great for turbo build ups as it is a modified copy of buicks grand national motor, cobras/machs, well there just plain fast

There's been a ton of v6 vs v8 mustang threads throughout the board, and it always ends up the same. The v6 owners try and justify having a v6 based on cheaper insurance and better gas mileage... and the v8 guys basically shoot them down by saying the differences are minute and real mustangs have v8s.
v6 and v8 owners will never agree... so, I dunno. Just my theory.
I'm happy with my 6cyl for now, until I can afford a v8.
