well how do u figure? why is every drag car engine torn down every day of race, Common sense the engine is put though alot of stress, And have you seen a engine after alot of use of Nos,
Common sense? you obivously don't have any. If you knew anything about drag racing, you would know the only engines that are torn down between rounds are top fuel and prostock, not even pro-mods tear down every round and guess what? they use tons of N2O. Yes I have seen lots of engines that have seen alot of N2O, in fact I have owned more than my share, and guess what, I have NEVER hurt any of them due to the use of N2O. The car in my sig has seen a 250 hp shot and gets a regular 150 hp shot (as in nearly every week) and it's holding up just fine. Do everybody a favor and don't speak untill you know what you are talking about.

Also, I found out there was a Zex Tech that lives like 10 houses away from me...
Literally.
So I can get it filled whenever !

And hes the one who reinstalled the system for me, im running 2 steps colder plugs and retarded timing about 2ยบ

Everything is in Working Proper Order as it should be.

He said the only, ONLY way it can **** my engine is if it runs lean when using it.

What are some maintenance things I should know about it?
Also, what should I do in terms of use?
I plan on using it at the track ALL the time now, thats usually around 10 passes (ridding the whole bottle of nitrous)

That should be fine tho right?
Just a little sketchy on the subject trying to learn about it

As for maint. maybe rebuild the solinoids once a year, it's very easy to do and cheap, other than that check any filters on the system after every couple of bottles and you should be fine. BTW where in NH are you? I lived in Lee many years ago, then moved to Maine (near Sugarloaf) and now I am in Chicago.

well how do u figure? why is every drag car engine torn down every day of race, Common sense the engine is put though alot of stress, And have you seen a engine after alot of use of Nos, I see alot of damage that is caused, when i had the nos set-up in my 93 stang is was done proper, Thats one of those things that happens, Like I say any mechanic will say Nos does burn out youre engine, I am not starting argue match. Its true in my opinion.

I finally read this post. This guy is hillarious!! Top-fuel engines are torn down every run because they're like 4 bizillion horse power (for those of you wise asses that will say nah...They're only about 6,000 hp. Bill Miller ran a new 8000hp, Brad Anderson Hemi. at the '04 Winternationals. HA HA!) running nitro methane. By the end of a 1/4 mile, the rings are shredded and the pistons have holes in them. And imagine that, they're not even running N20. I'm pretty sure that a 5.0 with a 75 shot will be just fine.

As for Obsol3te. Get some tires, change that nozzle to a 100 shot and buckle up. You won't have to rebuild the motor every race until you're making so much power that no dyno in the world can read it!!

I am not bashing youre happyness man, Youre going to burn out youre engine, Ive done it on my 93 lx 302, after 5 times of using NOS I noticed my engine starting to run like crap, I remember one time I was on my way to work, I had to travel up this hill on route to work, All I heard was POP sound from the engine, my engine creased up, So I got the car back to my house I pulled the engine torn it apart I never seen badly burnt piston tops / compression/ oil rings / so briddle, The engine only had 60,000 miles on it 30,000km's what a waste of money. The only Nos is good if ya got sponsors and you want to take youre engine apart every week.

GoodLuck
did you even consider the fact that it was because of your hypereutectic pistons? 87-92 have forged.
